Cryos & Jade- Secrets Page 5

  Good News

I went through a few titles for this work. First was Visitors, then Revelations, and finally Secrets. Beverly and Torina were both harboring secrets. The Bible tells us in Mark 4:22 that nothing that is hidden will stay that way. 2 Corinthians 5:10 says that we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ and Romans 14:12 says that each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Beverly and Torina both had to face the earthly consequences of their actions. But the Bible tells us that there will be eternal consequences for each and every person. Revelation 20:11-15 describes that day when all will be laid bare before Him. The only way to escape eternal punishment for our misdeeds is not good works or self-inflicted punishment. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that we are saved by grace alone apart from works. This is the good news. That though we are guilty before God for violating His law and falling short of His perfect standard, Jesus as the eternal Son of God and a perfect human being, took the punishment for that sin upon himself. He was rewarded for His obedience by being resurrected from the dead and given Lordship over every human being. If we turn away from our sins and submit to Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives, He promises to save us from the punishment that we deserve. He will transform our hearts to desire Him, His word and living a life pleasing to Him. Moreover we can face that day of judgment knowing that Christ has already taken our punishment for us and we will stand before God bearing Jesus’ perfect righteousness. He waits for you to come to Him and the Bible tells us He will not turn any away who come to Him in sincere faith. And once gifted, that salvation can never be taken from you. Don’t take my word for it. Grab a bible or go online, open up the Gospel of John and get to know the Savior of any and all who come to Him.
